Akshardham Mandir, New Delhi Akshardham is located in the capital New Delhi, India. It is built on about 100 acres of land. There is a group of monuments. Aksharadam was greatly opened by Abdul Kalam, November 7, 2005 and was open to all the public to visit from November 8, 2005. The temple is located in Noida on the banks of river Yamuna.

Besides the main temple, a group of monuments like “Vidhya Praboda Center”, “Jnana Prakasha Center” were also built. Aksharadam is mixed with the tranditional art of stone, Indian culture and civilization, ethics and ancient modern technology. The full name of Swami Narayan temple is the Aksharadam.

Thousands of marble stones and precious stones were used to build this shrine. These stones were collected from Pindwara cities Sikindra in Rajasthan which are famous for marble stones in India. The beauty of the architecture is steel is used anywhere in the entire construction, even in a thumb portion. The second is the Akshardam first is located at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. At the heart of Akshardham Mandir, New Delhi, Bakthidwar and Mayurdwar are two very large doors on 10 doors. The monument of Aksharadam bother the visitors with its various architraves, 141 feet high, 316 feet wide and 370 feet long. It was built with stone and red stand impresses in 1600 with two pillars floor of the monument building. The length of the whole premises of the temple is about 2 km with 145 windows and 150 summits. This temple is selected for “Guinness Book of World Records” as the largest temple in the world. The height of 141 feet Aksharadam temple attracts visitors. This temple appears with the old style of architecture and the idol of Swami Narayana Moorthi 11 feet gives blessings to devotees choir (Garbha Gudi). This temple resembles the traditions of Rajasthan with dance sculptures, sculptures of musicians sculptures writers.

Swami Narayan Temple was built by Swami Maharaj Pramukh. Three terrorists attacked Aksharadam in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar. Automatic weapons and granite were used to manufacture the bomb. Jihads killed 33 worshipers, including 28 visitors, two commandos, an NSG commando of the state reserve police constable and 70 others were seriously injured. Bramha Swaroopa Yogiji Maharaj had a desire to start this building in 1968 near the Yamuna River. But that has not been dealt with during his life. After, his heir Pramuk Maharaj (83) fulfilled his desire to finish the Akshardam construction. This temple is famous not only in India also famous in other countries like America, Africa, Australia and Britain. 600 buildings are built in these countries.
